29th Annual Webby Awards: KRUTSCH Receives Nomination for Owlcam App
Big news for our team at KRUTSCH! The Owlcam app has been nominated for a Webby Award in the Apps & Software - Services & Utilities category. Only five apps made the cut, and to be among them is a true testament to our work.
What are the Webby Awards?
The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. They’re presented annually by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a judging body composed of over three thousand industry experts and technology innovators.
This year, the Webby Awards received nearly 13,000 entries from more than 70 countries around the world. Fewer than 1,600 of those entries received nominations. All nominees are eligible to win the Webby Award, selected by IADAS voters, and the Webby People’s Voice Award, determined by popular vote. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

The Challenge
The previous Owlcam app had low ratings and failed to meet user needs. The challenge was to create an app that seamlessly integrates with dash cams, offering more features and an improved UI.
The Solution
The re-imagined version of the app needed standard features for basic users, along with advanced features for more seasoned drivers. The new version focused on intuitive design to make the app easy and enjoyable to use for drivers.

With an updated, more intuitive UI and a range of new and enhanced features, the result is an app that meets the needs of drivers at every experience level.
