I am a UX designer with a background in graphic design and web design. For me, design requires both a sense of pragmatism and a commitment to empathy. It is an essentially human occupation, since its ultimate purpose is to improve people’s lives.

I also believe that content is king. Users want to engage with the product, not the product’s design. Because of that, I think good design is often invisible. It should facilitate the user’s needs so unobtrusively that it is hardly noticed at all.

I have a PhD in Linguistics with a focus on NLP and machine learning. I am an expert in developing and analyzing large-scale natural language corpora for commercial applications, and have over 20 years experience in the legal industry developing and implementing algorithms for large-scale document investigation. I currently work as an embedded design and solutions architect creating systems for collecting and managing data in energy storage systems.
